Works with DeUHD, DVDFab UHD, AnyDVD HD & MakeMKV (LibreDrive enabled). You CANNOT just go out and buy a 4K drive and start ripping files! The ONLY solution is to have a drive like this that is "UHD friendly". Additionally, "official UHD" drives now come with a firmware installed that make them incompatible with copying software. Therefore, with additional software (NOT included in this auction), this drive can provide you options to decrypt, rip, burn, copy, etc, giving the potential to change a 4K disc to a playable file format. I CANNOT guarantee you will be able to plug this in and play a 4K disc on your PC.
4K was developed around anti-piracy, so PLAYING a 4K disc on your PC has a huge list of requirements. What makes my drive special is additionally it will READ a 4K disc, guaranteed. This drive will function as a regular WH16NS40 would. Works with Windows 7, 8, or 10 or Mac OS x 10.6 or later.
